The Local Grape’s First Wine Dinner of 2023!
Happy New Year! A new year brings new opportunities, so with great delight we’ve made some exciting changes to our monthly wine dinner.
We are keeping our Monday dinner schedule and as always, promoting Sierra Foothill American Viticultural Area (AVA) wines. Mariposa County represents the southernmost part of this AVA and we love to promote our young and growing wine region!
Kicking it off on Monday, January 23rd we welcome our own “Chef on the Mountain” Zachariah Reese to our growing community of Wine Dinner cuisiniers! Chef Reese is preparing a delicious bread and stew wine-pairing that is sure to bring our community closer together— literally breaking bread… and drinking wine!
This gathering will be a simple, wholesome meal and a perfect time to connect with friends, old and new, and enjoy different wines from our region!
Keep an eye out for our Valentine’s month dinner announcement with Chef Robert W. Snyder, formerly of The Elderberry House, to prepare a fantastic multi-course meal. In March Chef Reese will host us again with the official start of Spring, and Chef Sadie Taylor returns in April to have another Wine Dinner in the Vineyard event!
Our dinners start with a sip, continue with cheer, and end with great friends. We look forward to hosting you!

Chef Zachariah Reese
Chef Reese was born and raised in the Sierra foothills, just outside of Yosemite National Park and began working at the prestigious Awahanee Hotel just after high school.
After nearly 20 years in the industry Chef Reese has developed a unique business, catering to every client, taste or need. Drawing motivation in his dishes from personal connections throughout California and the greater culinary world.
