Chef Taylor

Our new friend in the Sierras, Chef Sadie Taylor began cooking as a kid and now specializes in private cheffing near Yosemite.

Sadie was brought up in her family’s restaurant business— learning by doing, she mastered what was on offer and has continuously expanded a unique culinary repertoire in her ventures.

Chef Taylor’s style focuses on supporting local, small farmers and using the season’s best offerings in creating a special take on California fare while crafting menus that are both experimental and approachable, thriving on cooking for the community, from what the community has to offer.

From the Wineries

  • Bella Grace Vineyards, 2021 Cracked Egg Viognier.
A Light-bodied, charming wine made in a concrete egg calls up images of picnics and seafood, with its floral and citrus aromas, crisp, dry fruit and mineral flavors and tangy texture.
—Jim Gordon, Contributing Editor at Wine Enthusiast
  • Hatcher 2020 Sauvignon Blanc.
“Armoas of apricot, lemongrass, and guava. Flavors of guava and apricot, with citrus tones of lemon and honeydew melon. Finishes with mineral and tropical fruit”
  • Vino Noceto, 2020 Sangiovese Bianco. Very limited.
Vino Noceto’s sixth vintage of White Sangiovese— only 140 cases made!
From the winery: “This has to be one of the rarest wines in the world!  Sangiovese is red; so, getting a world-class white wine from these grapes takes some skill. We hand-pick some of the best-looking bunches into very shallow bins so our thin-skinned grapes don’t burst and begin making rosé.  We then gently press those gorgeous bunches and pull the pale free-run juice into barrels.
For more than a year, we let our Bianco develop and evolve.  It is redolent of lime and mandarin zest, apricots, white nectarines, hazelnuts, green almonds, and even saffron.  Our Bianco is crisp and acid-driven like a well-made Sauvignon Blanc, but with a bit more weight and richness.”
    From Wine Enthusiast, July, 2021—
“Ripe stone-fruit flavors are accented by subtle but seductive nutmeg and vanilla notes in this delicious, creamy, barrel-fermented wine.  Complexity and good balance make it especially appealing.”  91 points.
  • Wise Villa Winery, 2021 Muscat.
“…Displays aromatics of pear, citrus blossom, lychee and honey suckle with a clean acid and mineral driven finish. Pairs best with salad, sushi and fresh fruit.”
