Chef Taylor

Our new friend in the Sierras, Chef Sadie Taylor began cooking as a kid and now specializes in private cheffing near Yosemite.

Sadie was brought up in her family’s restaurant business— learning by doing, she mastered what was on offer and has continuously expanded a unique culinary repertoire in her ventures.

Chef Taylor’s style focuses on supporting local, small farmers and using the season’s best offerings in creating a special take on California fare while crafting menus that are both experimental and approachable, thriving on cooking for the community, from what the community has to offer.

From the Wineries
  • Wilderotter Vineyards, 2018 Viognier.
Heady and complex aromas come from this full-bodied, unusual, and dry white wine.  Little known or grown just a few decades ago, this varietal from the Northern Rhone region of France has exploded onto the scene.  Breathe deep the toasty caramel from rich French oak barreling, yet still retaining the core of fruit.  On the palate, that fruit becomes toasty caramelized pears and ripe apples with nuances of lemongrass and honeysuckle.
  • Jana Winery, 2021 American Dry Riesling.
100% Riesling Crowe Vineyard, Benton City, Yakima Valley, Washington State.
Well balanced with delicate minerality and hints of jasmine, orange blossom, and honey suckle.  This delicate varietal Riesling shows the light terpenes reminiscent of the wonderful Rieslings of the Rhein river.
  • DeHart Karine Wines, 2018 Accomplice.
This full-bodied and appropriately tannic wine offers effusive black-fruit aromas, concentrated and dense fruit flavors and nicely integrated accents of smoke and toasted oak. This blend of 70% Alicante Bouschet and 30% Zinfandel is big but joyful, bringing buckets of blackberries and black cherries to coat the palate. —Jim Gordon, Editor at Wine Enthusiast. 91 Points
  • Grant Marie Winery, 2017 Port.
